Sago Announces Leadership Transition: Schlesinger Resumes CEO Role

Iselin, NJ—October 9, 2024 Sago (formerly Schlesinger Group), a trusted leader in market research, announced today that Reed Cundiff has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and as a member of the Board of Directors, effective immediately.

In his place, Steve Schlesinger, Executive Chairman of Sago’s Board of Directors, and former CEO has resumed the role of CEO, effective immediately. Schlesinger will continue to serve as Executive Chairman while leading the company in this transition.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Reed for his many contributions to Sago,” said Schlesinger. “Under his leadership, the company transformed its product and service offerings and enhanced the customer experience. Thanks to Reed’s dedication, Sago is more agile and innovative. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Reflecting on his time as CEO, Cundiff said, “It has been a privilege to serve as the CEO of Sago, and I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved—building a strong leadership team, driving innovation, and expanding Sago’s footprint in the market research industry. With Steve stepping back into the CEO role, I have full confidence that Sago’s global team is poised for continued success as it enters its next phase of growth.”

In addition to these leadership changes, Independent Director and former President of Sago, Mike Sullivan, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. Sullivan, who joined Sago in 2000 and later transitioned to an advisory role on the Board of Directors, brings decades of operational expertise.

“Mike’s deep operational knowledge of Sago will be invaluable during this time of transition,” added Schlesinger. “We’re fortunate to have him step back into the business with the same enthusiasm and drive that have always made him an exceptional leader.”
