UK Value-Added Tax
Our facility hire rates are exclusive of UK VAT at the rate of 20%.
I am based in the USA. Does VAT apply to my booking?
Yes. VAT is payable on facility hire by clients based in the UK, the USA, and all other countries outside the European Union. This is because facility hire in itself is not an exportable service and is not classified by the Inland Revenue as market research.
However, VAT is exempt for the USA or other countries outside the European Union if your booking includes research recruitment or research project management services provided by ourselves, at which point our totality of services can be classified as 'market research' and therefore considered exportable and exempt.
